Dr Tristan Casey
Dr Tristan Casey is Chief Scientist at New View Safety. He has extensive applied research experience, having worked alongside leading academics at Griffith University (Prof Sidney Dekker and Dr Drew Rae), Curtin University (Prof Mark Griffin), University of Queensland (Prof Andrew Neal), and Queensland University of Technology (Prof Nerina Jimmeson).
Dr Casey has won numerous national awards for his evidence-based safety leadership and culture tools, trainings, and resources. Adaptable and resilient, Dr Casey is equally at home on offshore dredging vessels, mine sites, construction projects, agricultural properties, and corporate board rooms. He is well-known across Australia for the LEAD safety leadership model and toolkit, which continues to be promoted by Workplace Health & Safety Queensland.
Dr Casey possesses a diverse range of experience, with previous roles at leading safety consultancies, government agencies (including safety regulators), universities in Australia and the United Kingdom, and executive directorships in industry. His research expertise spans safety training transfer, safety climate, leadership, mental health stigma, and job crafting.
Tristan holds two doctoral degrees in psychology (PhD, DPsychOrg), a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, and a Bachelor of Psychological Safety.
Kym Bancroft
Kym Bancroft is an executive health, safety and wellbeing leader with more than 20 years’ global experience leading safety strategy, culture transformation and organisational change across government, utilities, multinational services and high-risk industries.
She has held senior HSW leadership roles across large and complex organisations and previously served as Deputy Director-General and Queensland Regulator for workplace health and safety, electrical safety, workers’ compensation and industrial relations. Today, through New View Safety, Kym works with Boards, Executives and HSW leaders to translate complex safety challenges into practical strategies, frameworks and sustainable change.
Kym holds a Master of Applied Psychology (Organisational) and a Master of Safety Leadership. Her approach combines contemporary safety science, organisational psychology, deep operational experience and human-centred change to strengthen leadership, culture, risk and performance.

Marcus Bancroft
Marcus Bancroft is an experienced operations, project and business improvement professional with more than 20 years’ experience helping organisations turn ideas into practical, effective ways of working.
As Operations Manager at New View Safety, Marcus supports the systems, projects and operational capability behind the scenes. He brings a multidisciplinary background spanning project management, digital solutions, business analysis, data and analytics, process improvement and organisational operations.
Marcus holds a Graduate Certificate in Leadership from Queensland University of Technology, a Bachelor of Social Science, and diploma qualifications in project management, training and assessment, information technology, and business analysis.
His professional development also includes advanced study in Useability Mapping, SCRUM, SharePoint/365 development and administration, Power BI and Tableau, along with Lead Auditor certifications in both ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems and ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems.
